Product Overview

Nickel Titanium Hafnium Alloy (NiTiHf) is an advanced shape memory alloy(SMA) that offers enhanced high-temperature performance and shape memoryeffects. By adding hafnium (Hf) to the traditional nickel-titanium (NiTi) alloysystem, the material achieves higher transformation temperatures, superiormechanical properties, and improved thermal stability. This makes NiTiHf alloyideal for applications in aerospace, automotive, biomedical devices, and otherindustries where high-temperature shape memory and superelasticity areessential.

Product Features

  1. Enhanced Shape Memory Effect:

    • Exhibits excellent shape memory characteristics, allowing it to return to its original shape after deformation when exposed to heat.

    • Suitable for actuators, sensors, and high-performance engineering components.

  2. High-Temperature Superelasticity:

    • By incorporating hafnium, the transformation temperature is significantly increased, allowing the alloy to maintain superelasticity at elevated temperatures (up to 150-250°C).

    • Ideal for high-temperature environments where traditional NiTi alloys may lose their performance.

  3. Superior Mechanical Properties:

    • Offers high tensile strength, fatigue resistance, and durability, even under cyclic loading conditions.

    • Excellent for applications that require repeated shape recovery over long service lifetimes.

  4. Biocompatibility:

    • Safe for use in medical applications such as stents, guidewires, and orthopedic implants due to its biocompatibility and corrosion resistance.

Applications

  1. Aerospace and Defense: Used in high-temperature actuators, adaptive     structures, and control systems for aircraft and satellites.

  2. Automotive Industry: Ideal for temperature-sensitive components, such as engine actuators and sensors, due to its high-temperature resilience.

  3. Biomedical Devices: Utilized in medical implants like stents, bone plates, and surgical instruments for its shape memory effect and biocompatibility.

  4. Industrial Engineering: Suitable for valves, couplings, and other components requiring precise actuation and high reliability in demanding   environments.
